I happened to drive past Ford Open Prison on route to a friend.

There is a cafe situated right next door to the prison, it's called ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Serving Thyme.

That is brilliant. The name alone would have got me popping in for a quick cup of tea. Do you know if it's run by the inmates/recently released? 

I think it is quite common for prisons to offer that sort of rehabilitation assistance. At least, that was the case at the Jailhouse Cafe by the Verne on Portland. I used to go there during the years I advised at the immigration detention centre. These days the Verne is mostly known for being Gary Glitter's current UK address, so I'm guessing not many people would want him serving drinks.

Having an xmas birthday is not bad. Almost everybody's off work, the house is already decorated, you get cookies and because people feel sorry for you, you get even more presents.
