Winter has begun in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the part that's left off the map so you won't go there. It's the part at the top, so extensive the map has to break it into three sections.

 

The middle of Marquette County had 18 inches of snow yesterday. 
The U.P. is a beautiful place to visit, close to Canada, with temperate summers. Bird-watching, fishing, hunting, winter sports, rock collecting on the shores of the three largest of the Great Lakes. Lighthouses galore.
