German language classes with childcare

11 posts in this topic

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a language school with childcare.

During my initial search I was told that VHS offers childcare services but unfortunately they are only for kids between 2 to 6 years old. My son is 4 months old.

Any further hints on this issue be most helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hi Joan, sorry, I don't know any such offer, but if you're prepared to pay lessons + childcare then why not ask a private teacher to come to your place?

you are right. most of these language schools with child care accept children only above 1 year of age but some schools do accept a little younger too.

Have you already got admission somewhere? If not yet than chances are by the time you will get it your baby will be at least 2-4 months older and then maybe it won't be such a big issue at all.

my school prescribes the same age limitation but has accepted 2 babies under one year, one was 6 months at the time of admission and another was just 4 months..!

good luck

Tee + Treff is a citizen's/ parent's initiative that's located on Forstenrieder Allee and it offers a German conversation course with Kinderbetreuung: http://www.treff-und...hkurs_cont.htm. I know other "Parent Centres" offer special courses like language courses for moms and dads so check around your area, too.

Hi

I did a VHS evening course, intending to leave the children with my husband once he got home from work. As it worked out he was not always home in time so I missed quite a lot of classes, but my teacher did say she would have no problem with me bringing the children with me as long as they were quiet, and had a student in another class who always brought her baby, and the baby slept through most of the class. My children were nearly 1 and nearly 3 at the time and not at all inclined to sleep or sit quietly through a 2 hour evening class after their bedtimes, so I never took her up on the offer, but that option may work for a 4 month old baby, only you would know whether that is an option depending on your baby's habits and temperament!

All the best

Hilary

Thanks for the help

Someone recommended a center near Poccistr, he said "just near the KVR" but unfortunately I didn't find it

It is special for the mothers with children as it offers a baby care while the mother attends the course

* * *

Anyway, for those who are interested for (Tee & Treff), here is a good center in sendling:
