Happy New Year, Beth! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I wanted to post a pic of the rainbow but it didn´t work...the rainbow is a symbol of harmony for me, crossing bridges. I will try and try again this evening till golden slumber takes over!

It rained and then the sun came out! Hat and coat off.

Raining again now and the dogs want out..to see the rainbow? Of course!

Happy New Year to you down there and everyone else!

Here in Germany its so icy it may be a Gut'n Rutsch and thus a broken hip. Down there be careful the seaweed may be slippery!

We are in Yerevan and it’s been beautiful- nice temps and sunny. The half Armenian, 1/4 German, 1/4 mixed American who is 3 and a half is singing to us in multiple languages with some amusing mixtures. 😂. And her Armenian Mother is impressed because we taught her how to say hippopotamus. 😂

Who is doing what this evening?

We are past caring about staying awake till at least midnight!

It doesn’t matter! It used to - sure. But not any more.

But for many of you, it is hopefully fun!

🙏🏻

So where will you be wilfully drunk and merry?

😜

Your last sentence is the most beautiful on this forum today for me!🙏🏻

We're staying put - 7th floor with east and west balconies. We will see and hear it all! No way to go to bed before midnight because it is too loud.

Happy New Year to everyone with happiness and good health!

Lying by our crackling log fire by candlelight. Dog sleeping, me dozing near wife and son. Daughter is at friends house. Midnight I shall bring a lump of coal out pf the back door and in the front door.

Will work on pics soon.  It’s 10:40 pm here, 3 hours ahead of Deutschland.  Just left the kids‘ house. Granddaughter is 3 and a half as I mentioned and the grandson is 4 months old.  So Opa, Oma, and our son and DIL and the granddaughter all did our toast at 10 for Bangladeshi NY.  Since my son married the Armenian and moved to Yerevan 5 years ago we have been here about 15x.  These folks have Christmas on 1/6, but as a holdover from Soviet Times Santa Claus comes tonight (the Soviets wanted to get rid of the Christian customs here - it didn’t work - but it did have a long lasting cultural influence).  It’s a crazy world.  Tomorrow we will be doing some house visits as is custom here.

Yep. My daughter left a glass of milk and one of my mince pies by the chimney on Christmas Eve.

We received a whiffy smell from a flatulent Father Christmas to stuff the milk and leave wine next time. He has thousands of kids to deliver to.
