Funny German car registrations

180 posts in this topic

Following on from the funny German names thread I noticed two cars the other day, one registered Mu-FF xxx. and the other BO-NK xxx, parked near each other.

A while back I spotted a crappy old lowered black BMW 3 series convertible with some proud looking kiddy driving it. His chosen plate SAD-ME xxx

Reminds me of another, possibly someone who posts here, but at least someone with some creativity: RO-OT 101

I've often thought about moving to Schwäbisch Hall, and getting the Number - G 69 ;)

or maybe to Stuttgart...

I wanted TÖL-DU 50 but they said it wasn't available.

Not much else funny with those letters as a prefix ...

Urban legend has it that there was a car driving round in the UK in the late 70s sporting the number OSH 1T, but this one was never issued.

Its great when the persons shown a bit of imagination and a sense of fun.

Not like all those Audi TT drivers who drive around with M.TT.123/100 or whatever.

I used to own ABU 51T

Sold it to a bloke who put it on his DB7 now this bloke did know how to Abus(e) IT!!

Part of the story follows...

Silicon Technologies Europe Receives Government Subsidies

Sunday Business Post -- Silicon Technologies Europe Ltd is based in offices at the government-subsidised Shannon Development Clare Business Centre in Ennis. Dylan Creaven has a hand in the company's stated assets of €4.16m. Creaven also has a hand in conspiring to cheat the British Inland Revenue of STG 162m of VAT. What I would like to know is can you get VAT back on aircraft leasing arrangements.

One of the mobile phone traders arrested by British VAT investigators had the personalised automobile registration plate of JU51 VAT (JUST VAT) and another car he owns bears the plate ABU 51T (ABUSE IT). The owner had run a scheme to exploit the zero VAT rate for trading partners in the EU single market. Creaven is not unique.

There is a car parked regularly in our street with the DO:Rk xxx number plate.

I quite like the M:IN1 number plate though(obviously on a mini).

Well you get a lot of minis in Berlin with B-IG Number Plates or BMWs with B-MW, I've seen SE-XY quite often , but the best one I ever saw was PE-PS 1
