Posted 28 Nov 2011 Course we remember that one! Mr noakes himself. Did you know he gave Val one? Gossip that I am. Yes, but only a singelton. Those were the days - no cctv, someone destroyed the bbc garden (which at that young age I found incredibly funny) and the great charity chocolate bar auction which flopped. How many times did you call and put in a bid?

Posted 28 Nov 2011 Well given that yesterday was the 1st Sunday of Advent, you might want to try lighting one of the candles. Yes, Mini should maybe light one of the candles for authenticity, but I am wondering why Jeremy had two burning on the first Advent? As for such things being difficult - not at all - I am maybe the least creative person I know, but I manage to through something together each year - I am sure you could too Camlough! Four candles and a pile of green stuff is all you need, but failing that, a bag of oranges will do the job too!
Posted 28 Nov 2011 You just start with four candles. And it could end there, but if you have some greens and a ribbon or just want to wing it (I loved Gillian L's citrus wreath ), you can end up with something charming. I'm going to take some small clear glass ornaments and put them in among the candles. The stick wreath is probably something I got at a crafts store and the circle of little bells is the remains of a garland.
Posted 29 Nov 2011 Each of these was put together in ten minutes or less, just grabbing at what was at hand. There are actually four purple candles, one was shy.

Hell he even scared me!
Posted 29 Nov 2011 Lovely! all of them! Katheliz: What are those glassy round things in the first photo?
Posted 29 Nov 2011 They're just clear glass ornaments. I also like to hang them toward the inside of the Christmas tree to reflect the colored lights, if they're not being used elsewhere.
