    • No, because the shot is part of an evil plot by the government to control us. Swine flu doesn't even exist. You are all sheep.

Tinkerbel9 thought it would be a good idea to start a poll to find out who's getting the jab.

Shoot, I forgot to add the option "Yes and I am looking to purchase large amounts of it and send it to my homeland."

You forgot

No, because I have already had H1N1 and survived it.

Thanks for doing the poll!! There needs to be more options in the NO department. Like NO: because they came up with it too soon and it hasn't been tested. Like NO: Because I would rather eat a McDonalds cheeseburger than put shit like that in my body. Or NO: because they don't know what all those other manditory shots they have given us (mostly US military) in the past have done to us.

Yes, of course I want fries with that!! Not getting jabbed BTW.

Not getting it even though I work in the public sector. I'll leave it up to the sheep.

Right on my friends!

I'd get the vaccine if they gave me a coupon for a free MacDonald's cheeseburger with my injection.

Although I'm in a high risk group - I'm nearly 6months pregnant - I wont be getting the jab. My main concern is any risk it may have for the baby - as far as I am aware, the vaccine hasn't been tested on pregnant women and so any effects for the foetus are unknown - and due to the timeframes we are talking about here, could not be known yet. I will take my chances with the flu thanks.

It is being tested on pregnant women.

I personally am not worried about this vaccination. It's like any other flu preparation, denaturing most of the virus but one surface component that will match that of the live virus if you come into contact with it. As for mercury, you are probably getting mercury with most injections if you take them for Hepatitis, Tetanus, or the annual flu shot. The mercury is minimal--probably less than what you would ingest by eating a piece of fish for your omega-3s. Sure, this vaccine has not been tested long term, but has any annual flu shot been tested widely before giving it in that year?

Nah, if they make it widely available, I'd go for it.

If the govt. wants to mass inject us to try out something new for its nefarious schemes, which it has done on the military and prisoners, then it can just as easily use jet contrails to get us, if enough of us won't get the injection. (Anybody else spend any time in their life listening to Coast to Coast? ;-))

And in Germany? Surely you don't believe that the German govt. is in cahoots with American Big Pharma to inject German citizens with chemicals clearly meant for the American populace? ;-)

When the flu starts killing everyone, I'll think about it. Until then, I'll take my chances with the flu instead of with possible reactions to the vaccine down the line.

Do I think the vaccine will really do any damage? Probably not. But I'm not sure, so I'm doing nothing instead.

From the people I've spoken to, most of whom have a much more conservative view on the world when compared to myself, the majority have said they will not be getting themsleves injected.

This I actually find interesting because most of them have not been exposed to alternative views on vaccines, but have recognised somehow that the situation itself does not add up.

Or is it just the normal apathy/inertia that is common in these sorts of cases?

If/when the infection rate (or god forbid the death toll) starts to rise then I think you will see a change in attitude.

Of course if this is another SARS/Birdflu media driven scare then it will all just sort of fade away on the news and quietly be forgotten about or the Government will claim victory for the vaccination programme.

I just reminded my daughter, who is in a risk group due to a heart condition, to get her normal flu shot. Depending on what the doctor tells her about the New Flu vaccine we are both considering getting the jab - she to protect herself and I to protect her.

I am missing the option "Yes - because I feel responsible for people who could catch it from me and are less able to deal with it (economically or health-wise)". Or how about "Yes - because the more people will catch the flu, the higher the chances that it might evolve into something deadlier".

Already done, got it 4 days ago.

Baaaah.

Did you get any side effect from the shot? I'm thinking about getting it, but I didn't get any info how and where to get it.
