English-speaking mum in Kiel

My wife (German) and I (American) have a 1 and a half year old boy who doesnt really speak either language yet but we would love to meet with other English speaking people at a playground or something here in Kiel. It would be nice to have a weekly playgroup or something.

Hi everyone,

I am a mother of a girl (21 months). I am Dutch and my husband is English.

We don't really know any other English speaking families around Kiel (we live in a small town about 10 km from Kiel)

I also speak German and I try to meet up with German mums in playgroups around here. But I also would like to meet up

with English speaking mums :-). So if anyone would like to meet up let me know! I don't work and my husband is away a lot for his job from March on, so eager to meet and make my/our world a bit bigger!

Hi guys,

Long shot here, because this forum hasn't been posted in for a while. I am an Aussie Mum of one - Leda, she's nearly 10 months old - and am looking for other English speaking Mums to meet up with. I speak German and have some lovely German mum friends, but I do miss having English speaking mums to chat with.

Anyone else up for a coffee?

Also, a book club sounds fun, if it hasn't been organised already, we should get onto that!

Hi,

My family just relocated from Sydney last September and we will be here at least a few years. All of us are learning German. We are American by way of Canada and Australia (I am a scientist). I have a 3 year old daughter and another due in August. We are looking for new friends and especially other young families who might like to start an afternoon German tutoring group for pre-literate children. My husband is a stay-at-home dad and would especially like to meet other men in the same position. I will be going on maternity leave soon and would also like to meet some other mums in the area who might like to practice/learn German with me.

Cheers!

Hi,

Well it seems we will manage to form a group :-)

I am Frédérique, I am French and I have a little girl (she is 9 months old).

I am living in the Wik area, near Belvedere.

Where and when do you want to meet ?

Cheers

Hi guys!

Taking another long shot here, as there haven't been any new posts for over a year here. I am also mum here in Kiel and have a 4-month-old daughter. It would be great to find other moms/dads from abroad to have coffee with and chat in English. Is anyone else interested in a meetup for moms/dads and their little ones?

Cheers!

Hi,

I would love to meet up with some other English-speaking mums/dads. My son is 7 months old. It would be great to have some kids for him to speak English with when he gets a bit older too. So he hears it from others besides me! I'm Irish, living on the east side of Kiel. Anyone interested in meeting up for a coffee and a chat? MMilda?

Hello to the recent posters!  I am not sure if you will continue to check. I do not have children but would love to meet up with English speakers as well!  I am only around through December and then moving to Austria. I am from the USA and have learned German since being here in January through an intensive course and working in a complete German environment.

Hello! This page keeps appearing at the top of my search engine, so although old, it seems the best place to try! I have just moved to Kiel with my 6 month old daughter and husband. We are on a waiting list with Haus der Familie but I would also love to find an English speaking playgroup/meet other English speakers, especially with young children too. If anyone knows of anything or is looking for something similar please do get in touch.

There is a new English speaking playgroup in Kiel, starting in November 2018. I am sure you will like it

Hi all, I don't know if this thread is still going or not, but we just moved to Altenholz and are looking for other English speakers. We're a British/German family and have two daughters who are 6 and 4. We'd love to meet!
