You can do it at the German Red Cross training centre at Eschersheimer Landstrasse 328:

German Red Cross FFM

Nearest u-bahn stop on the U1, U2 or U3 is Fritz-Tarnow-Strasse I think.

They do a weekly course every saturday, starts at 9am and goes on till 3-4pm. You need to bring your passport and also 20 EUR cash. Just turn up.

Hi All,

The German Red Cross training center at Eschersheimer Landstr. 328 is a waste of time, don't bother going on a Saturday. I was there yesterday and had the experience that there were 10-12 of us standing around outside waiting, 9am came and went, no one from Deutsches Rotes Kreuz came. There is a flat over the office and the woman came down and told us all every Saturday she sees people waiting, and every Saturday it's the same thing, no one comes to teach the class. Calling the telephone number gets only a message machine. She says they don't care, even if you complain. I waited until 930 and then left.

Just don't want someone else to waste their Saturday morning as I did, after getting up early and everything!

A coworker of mine who is Irish said she thinks there's also a class offered in English in Höchst, but as it's through DRK and even further from my flat, not sure I can be bothered. Anyone else heard of an English Erste Hilfe class for the Driving License?

Woof!

Just FYI to anyone who wants to do this course, I did the Herr Brauer course above last weekend (11th October) and it was fine. Lovely people, quick eye test, good food during the lunch break etc. He specialises mainly in doing the course for people coming to germany who already have a license but need to do some hours etc before being able to change a license over. However he also works with beginners too.

Recently I have completed my first aid course in frankfurt at this place http://www.erste-hilfe-kurs.info/kursort/frankfurt.

They are located at Zeil, konstablerwache and are really good. The courses are on every saturday.

My german knowledge is very less and I told to teacher before hand. The teacher said its no problem, just we have to keep listening, do some basic things. At the end, you get the certificate valid for your license.

They also provide your photograph, if required. Just down this building, you find optical shops where you can complete the eye test.

So, around 5 hours, I completed all three things. (first aid, photo & eye test).

The site mentioned/listed above is no longer valid. Returns a 404 Not found error.

For sure Herr Brauer in Hoechst teaches in English and hosts the first aid course in English once a month.

They even do the eye test for you at the class. His email is brauer@arcor.de and his mobile is 0179 / 69 039 36.

Ivone,

I just did mine 2 weeks ago at Erste Hilfe Und Mehr - Carl-Thodor-Reiffenstein-Platz 8, 60313 Frankfurt. You can just walk in there. Visit their website for details about location, time and prices. The course is conducted in German, but its quite easy to understand since they're using slideshow with photos n stuff. Me and another 7 non-german speaking chaps made it through without any problems.

Good luck

I checked with them on 28 Sept 2017 and received this reply on 2 Oct 2017:

" Yes we do offer first aid course in English but only for students of our driving school. If you are still interested write us again and we send you the information."

Their email address is: info at fahrschule-brauer.de

I also used this company on Saturday 30 Sept 2017.

They offer eye tests and photos at the same location during the class so it is a very convenient offering.

The class is in German but the instructor also spoke very good English and offered to explain any sections or answer any questions in English.

All of the other people on the team spoke enough English to accomplish the goal, e.g. photos, eye test, etc.

The class location in Rödelheim that I planned to attend canceled due to that instructor calling in sick. All of the students then relocated to the Carl-Thodor-Reiffenstein-Platz Frankfurt location and were fit into the existing classes there.

I was satisfied with the experience and would recommend this company.

I did my first aid course in the center of Frankfurt. The provider was "Die Ersthelfer" and they did an amazing job.

They made also the Eye Test and Passport Pictures at the same day and the price is reduces if you take all 3 services in a package.

Also the Eye Test was conducted in English and they support you to pass the test.

The also have an website https://www.die-ersthelfer.com/first-aid-course.

The course was a lot of fun and I have learned a lot. Not what I have expected before at all. So I can really recommend.

Regards
