Take a look here

Typically the ones marked "Europe" and are in Green, should be Acheivable via a Motorised satellite dish...

Plus you would also get many hundreds of other channels too!

checkout this link http://www.lyngsat.com/eb1.html

All channels listed with a 'F' are free-to-air(FTA).

The satellite to point to is Eurobird1(28.5E) / Astra2A/2B/2D (28.2E).

Currently 9X,9XM,NDTV-Imagine,B4U Music, Zee Muzic, BBC News, some cartoon channels etc are available...Not bad at all...grab a 60cm dish antenna set(Dish+LNB+Digital Receiver+Fitting equipment)...

For installing the dish, checkout http://www.dishpointer.com/ to get the exact direction(horizontal as well as vertical alignment of the antenna) by filling out your exact address and choosing the desired satellite.

Thats it!

cheers

Hey...I am moving to Germany in a couple of months...was wondering if my Indian Electronic appliances (LCD, Microwave, Washing Machine etc) will work in Germany or not? German and Indian Voltage and frequency is the same...so i see no problem...but who knows..i mite be missing something here...

It would work. Note that the power plugs have a different standard here. While, India follows a 3 pin power plugs standard (Live, Neutral and Earth), Germany (and many other countries in the continent) has adopted a heavy 2 pin powerplug system (the earth circuit is completed by a tiny clip in the socket). It is possible to use the applicances with a 3pin/2 pin adapter
