TT Berlin Photography club photo meet up

Now that the weather is miserable. Wondering out of doors doesn;t really flip my switch.

I am wondering if anyone up for a portrait session in the warm comfort of a quiet coffee shop or a studio if you have access to one? I would be very interested in that.

@ ketziner I'd be up for something on the 4th but not sure what yet. Potsdam would be good if the weather is ok, a day like today would be perfect. Anyone else for Sunday? Any suggestions on where?

hey Pheonix Rose, I'd be up for the exhibition at Martin Gropius and then a coffee/tea after... maybe we could try to get a group of us together for the group entry price??? Could be fun...

Maybe see how the forecast goes for the weekend? I don't personally mind the cold and if the light is as good as it was yesterday and today I'd rather take advantage of that and be out taking pics. Yesterday we went walking along the Finow Canal and today around the lakes at Wandlitzsee, the light has been really beautiful for landscape work. Of course though, if theres enough interest we can do both as two groups.

I would like to join some photo meetup when I'm back in Berlin... and as soon as I get my camera back, it doesn't communicate to/from the lenses anymore :(

Happy new year to everyone.

Thanks Caille. Should be fun. For those of you interested, sounds like HBF in front of McD's about 8pm... wander a bit and wind up at the big party - hopefully NOT to freeze. (we'll see).

Well it will have to go back to the manufacturer... the problem is that I'm in Canada right now on vacation, we arrived here on Dec. 18th and my camera stopped working on the 19th. Now I need to wait to be back in Berlin to send it to the manufacturer since I cannot do it here :(

Hi!

Checked the forecast and tomorrow it's supposed to be intermittent snow/sleet showers. I did, however, have an idea if it continues to snow - that might be worth attempting. There's the gas lamps in the tiergarten that are turned on after dark. In the snow, they might make some beautiful black and whites... also, we could try to stage a snowball fight if it is snow - and get some action shots.

If not, then we could always do the photography exhibition.

Thoughts?

hey guys, happy new year,

will have to see about tomoz my little boy is poorley at the mo, got a throat infection and a cold so don't want to trapse to far with him in tow. I'd be up for the Tiergarten thing or Potsdam weather permitting and if we can have the car! am staying in Ketzin just outside of berlin , I'd have to leave the exibition untill a time when Oma and Opa can have him!

that sounds a good idea about the Tiergarten phoenix-rose, weather is looking generally poor for landscape work but your plan sounds a good one. Anyone else up for it?

yeah I think it could be fun too! I like the idea of a snowball fight... I hope we get that much snow. For a Aussie this snow is really hitting the spot - it's been 20 years or so since I've seen proper snow and so I'm enjoying things when it does. Either way, I'd also go to the exh if the weather is foul and hideously cold for shooting... So I gather that Phoenix Rose you meant we go to Tiergarten after sunset at around 4.30??

that sounds fine. Hows the snow doing in central Berlin today though? Its actually melting quite quickly where we are on the north side of the city and it usually stays much longer here.
