and once again, i really recommend anyone that is thinking about learning to give it ago. You really can go from having never skied - to throwing yourself down a black piste after 3 weekends! (or just chicken out like me) :)

I did this ski course about 12 years ago and it was excellent. My 5-year old daughter did the course last year and really enjoyed it.

oh come now...a black piste after 3 weekends?

I'll be happy if I can do a blue trail in a single shot, no stopping or fiddling about to see if what's ahead is "too hard" or scary or what have you.

anyway, I'm in!

haha, it's true :) but then again... hard red - easy black.. all degrees..

that said, about 70% of the group did it and it looked bloody hard to me. And most had never skied before. Just bring some balls :)

(ps.. you'll be doing the blue after weekend 1, the red weekend 2, carving & other techniques weekend 3)

The info eve's for the 2013 season are finished.

It's always a good time to add your name to the list of interested people for next season though!

It's time to start thinking about this again. Send a message to

parallel_skiing AT gmx . com

to get signed up for an Info Eve. Times/dates of the Info Eves are as yet TBD. When they are set they will appear here.

This is the best chance you will ever have to learn how to ski as an adult.

Although we may sound like brainwashed minions, it is undeniable that Ken's course simply works.

A message from Ken who runs the ski course...

Before the course starts, beginners must come to my house one

evening for general information, boot fitting, and a few ski exercises.

We will discuss the costs in detail at the InfoEve. The InfoEve itself is free

and non-binding. The earlier beginners come, the larger the boot selection.

Even those who are skeptical should come along to an InfoEve

and see for themselves how easy and fun learning to ski can be.

The next information evenings are

InfoAft Sun27Oct. 15:00,

InfoEve Wed30Oct 19:00

InfoEve Tue5Nov 19:00.

InfoAft Sun10Oct. 15:00

I've just heard from Ken that there are a few beds and boots now, but we don't have enough spots to get everyone to the course. So if you have a car and want to learn to ski then please sign up at the website http://parallelskiing.com/join.html, or if you have Ken's gmx email address email him directly.

For those that are new, we use car pooling to get everyone from Munich to the Guesthouse in Tirol, to the course each day, then back to Munich. Passengers chip in for fuel costs, which gets split between the drivers. We all meet at Quiddestr U-Bahn on Friday evening so being a driver doesn't mean you have to organise people or pick up locations. Don't worry if your car is small either, because there's room for peoples luggage which can be split among other cars.

Hi I don't have a car but am willing to share the costs with anyone who does have one; I am a beginner and would like to join the course; don't have ken's email address but I did send a message earlier today on the website; can I get a place in the course?

Hi Della, sorry for the delayed response. Ken is planning to do a Christmas-break Bambino Course, but the exact timing has yet to be determined. Contact him at

parallel_skiing [at] gmx.com

to get on the Bambino mailing list.
