Three Lies, One Truth

461 posts in this topic

It's a game. In order to participate you need to tell three lies about yourself and one truth. We need to guess which one is the truth.

I'll start:

1. I have silicone implants.

2. My mother wears army boots.

3. My grandparents were buddies with the pilot who dropped on Nagasaki.

4. I have hair in my arse crack.

I read once and again the four options in disbelief and amusement, that's it, until I re-read the title and realized it was 3 lies and 1 truth and not the other way around...

The truth lies on the 2nd.

Incorrect, sir. You may guess again, but you must then post YOUR 3 lies and one truth along with it. Thusly the game progresses... :)

I second the hairy ass-crack.

Ooo, you edited, so I can't bust your bad grammar on the Harvard line, thus negating it.

Of all things, I could never imagine you having a black belt.

The Soviet spy ship thing is just off the wall enough to maybe be true.

But I think i will go with the punished poet one. EDIT: HA HA HA... okay, I will bite and go with published poet as well.

1. I once ran a marathon in Los Angeles.

2. I broke my back in a freak football accident.

3. I love crab legs and can't get enough of them.

4. My secret desire in life is to live in Japan.

EDIT: And Pas, keep your trap shut! :P

Hee hee, I was being sneaky. All of them are true! (I took some classes at Harvard between Jr and Sr year in High School, it´s not like I graduated from there... and the black-belt I earned quite some time ago...do they expire?)

You bad girl! I was pretty sure the spy ship one was true.

Edit: and for mlovett, I am going with #3.

The crew was all Russian, and the other passengers were all over 60 (I was my grandfather´s companion on a senior trip) -- *sigh* good memories

Grr, I don´t look like a blackbelt to y´all? I do my secret ninja moves when no one is looking.

Leeza, I´m going to guess you broke your back...?

Awww, man. I didn't think I was that transparent!

Yes, I broke two vertebrae by diving for a football (soccer ball) and slamming headfirst into the goalpost in a practice while I was playing in Uni. I was laid up for months, lost my sport scholarship and dropped out of Uni after that. Changed my life, for the worse I thought then, but if that had never happened I would have never ended up here, so in the end, I am glad for it. Although I was devastated that I could never play competitively again. :(

So mlovett, what was it?

Yeah, actually a combination of massive bad luck and being massively stupid. Every serious athlete knows you don't go all out in practice. I just could never bear to let a ball get by!

It was one of the lowest times I ever had. Football had been the center of my life since I was 4, and from one day to another it was gone. Plus losing my full ride scholarship to a top-rated Uni really threw a wrench in my life plans. But as I said, I never would have ended up here in Munich if that hadn't happened, and therefore never would have discovered the wonders of TT. So it all worked out in the end. :P

Ruthie, you don't quite get it, that was 4 truths and one lie.. . or was it 3 lies, because they were supposed to be lies but in fact were true so infact your were lies after all... anyway (whats the smiley equivelent of a slap on the wrist?)
