Stuck for hours at Frankfurt Airport

Hi All,

 

I am on my way home and my flight got delayed in Frankfurt. So I am stranded here in Frankfurt city..and everything seems to be closed..any ideas how to spend 4-5 hours in the city..can't even find a lousy movie kino in the whole city...

 

I m online for the next 20 minutes..so let me know of any ideas...Cheers!

Try running around in an empty city...been up since 5 am..and flight is scheduled to depart at 10pm...

Frankfurt is a pretty big Airport surly you will find plenty to do.

Try the information desk to get a layout plan...

No movies...that's awful!

Goto one of the bars/clubs in Terminal-1

The Turm Palast at (Hauptwache) does 8 screens of english only movies.

@ ashu...how is it going...your flight doesn't leave until 10 pm.

Did you find something interesting to do to fill in the time?

That might be an interesting post...things to do while stranded at an airport.

 

Anyway...I shall be looking out for a full report. Hope you get home safe and sound ...and before Santa gets there.

@MuencherKindl: Thnks for the wishes! I made it home all safe and sound..Unfortunately had already left...so no gifts for me (Maybe my being naughty this year has something to do with that though )

 

I didn't want to spend time in the airport...I had never been to Frankfurt City before...everyboidy had told me it was not worth visiting..nothing special..I walked around alt Oper and The Hauptwasche area for a few hours..had a couple of beers...but most of it was closed apart from last minute shoppers. Then went to the Hauptbahnhof and checked the surrounding areas... but I was expecting a mini Amterdam...but it was more like a street...anyways...I didn't stay and just came back to the airport for another round of beers and back to my book..Angel n Demons...Did I mention it is better than Da Vinci Code!

 

Hows life in the Toytown? Seems awefully quiet over there...
