1. I have proved it - Opodo is a mega ticket booker - probably booking thousands of tickets a day, and will command the best deals you can get form the airlines. They have no rental costs, and minimum staff costs, so if they can't undercut the airline, not high street one can...

Why does anybody reading this thread believe that some random guy, who cannot even get himself a credit card in Germany, can set up a travel agency, that will get massive discounts on regular airline tickets for his customers. If he has these great deals, why have none of the other travel companies that have been working in the industry for years not got them - even though they have track record, credit record, and infrastructure in terms of experienced staff and access to software to get the best deals they can.

 

So please someone tell me why any of you believe this guy has got special powers in the industry. He;s just moved from hacking people's mobile phones to running the travel agency that has the best deals in the world.

 

So please, as I say in my introduction - cut the crap and enter the real world.

Oh, and I forgot to ask - if our travel agent with the best deals available in the world has anything genuine to offer, then why does he decide to not only pull the plug on his involvement in this thread, but also not offer his great deals to those who requested offers?

Look use your head. Why will an airline provide travel agents with a 30% discount on their cheapest seat price, while they try to sell it at full price on their web site. Remember the guy was offering a 220 euro seat at 160 euro, so that means he claims Aerl Lingus are offering it to him at 150 euros or less if he is to make any money on the deal. Now given the the vast majority of flight sales are now made via the web, why oh why would the airlines do this.

 

It makes no business sense, it makes no common sense, and this discussion is based on the fact that you assume the guy is in fact a valid travel agent - which he clearly is not.

 

So, again I challenge you to go to a high street travel agent, ask them for a confirmed price on a ticket form Munich to Dublin return with Aer Lingus, going out on 5 September, and returning on 15 September. Then publish the quotation here.

I am new here but find this topic very interesting.

 

We travel a lot between Germany and UK and also Cyprus and have found that the best prices are available directly on the web.

 

I am suspicious of the offers being made by PakWiz on many grounds:

 

1. Non-serious name.

2. Have seen nothing so far I can't find for myself in the web from an established agent/airline.

3. No entry in the web, phone book, yellow pages, business directory etc.

 

All thats missing is an invitation to pay by Western Union and collect your tickets in Nigeria.

I for one have read this thread with interest. If Pakwiz wants to advertise on a community discussion forum (for free) then he can expect to be discussed in a way that's not always friendly, especially if he provides abundant signs of being a scammer. The fact is that scams are NOT always obvious, and sometimes it takes the persistence of people like Colin to push this into the open. As I recall, it was Pakwiz who got publically insulted (and insulting) instead of answering questions in a professional way, which no professionally run small business can afford.

Agreed. This is not the first time that poor Colin has got a bee in his bonnet over some topic only to be proved later that his argument / information / perspective is slanted to say the least and only a partial impression / understanding of the topic at hand. His MO is normally to claim to be the world's expert on something only to back down later and claim that he was only giving his personal perspective when called on his bullshit. It would be mildly amusing but ...

 

In the process other individuals are harmed by his misinformed and biased waffling. The bloke should think of the implications of his actions before firing off yet again half cocked. To be honest, I never thought that the OP was a "scammer", but posting up with a phone number and claiming it has "3 lines" in brackets I just found laughable for someone that has been posting up asking for cheap childcare and doesn't possess a credit card. It just stunk of bullshit and attempting to convince people that he was some sort of business hot-shot with a multi-national call centre of dedicated customer services representatives. The stuff about the mobile phone unlocking too just reminded me of the geezers round Hounslow market. Unlocking mobile phones is the most desperate of business "services". It was good that the OP dropped back into this thread with his last post, if he cuts all the bullshit (as he appears to have done) maybe he just might be able to get his business off the ground and we could all use cheap airfares.

 

Personally, I will wait until he offers some sort of guarantee and explains a bit on his new website about how he operates before I consider taking him on his word and parting with my hard-earned.

 

Is Colin-bashing part of the norm in these parts then? Poor Colin, I feel someone should step in now and fight his corner. Sadly, I have no idea about the ins and outs of how travel agents work.
