Now that's a scary bit of search engine!

no kidding. But I just found some money owed to me which is being held by the State Controller's office, LOL!

With so many people being concerned about privacy, I'm always appalled that everybody imports their address book into social networking sites, IM platforms etc.

At the same time uses gmail, web based time management etc.

A heaven for data mining companies like Google.

Probably the same people just "google". Ignoring the fact that if there will be only one search engine in the future, the information flow can and will be controlled by corporations who have a long track record of civil rights violations.

Would anybody be so naive and leave their wallet in the subway, trusting it will be their upon returning from work later in the afternoon?

My advice:

Delete all subscriptions to such sites, profiles and e-mail accounts. Eventually you'll get off.

FC why dont you wear mittens that will keep you off the internet and after a while all this information about you will become defunct- and dont worry you will still be able to wank while wearing them.

For the same reasons I would advocate chaining you to a 10 ton lump of concrete.

You could post all your private information here, so the clever TT people could help to find and delete you from the web.

Other than all my scientific publications, they got nothing on me.

Not quite true, this comes up round the top of the search results. The search engine is rather good, better than spock

Out of interest BB

Have you seen or heard any reports about people being nabbed after spooks tracked them down via their IP addresses?

FC

FC those spooks you are worrying about are really not interested in wankers - I mean with all that anti-Jewish stuff you put out there then the Mossad would have annihilated you by now if they had any intention of doing so.

Several years back I struck up an internet relationship with a woman on kiss.com. She traveled a lot for her job and was coming to England so I made up an excuse that I was on business in Australia. She had to go to Hawaii anyway and insisted that we meet up in Sydney. I gave her the hotel name and everything - of course I was working in Germany at the time. I really hope she never finds me. She deserved it because she was living with a man in Houston anyway – cheating bitch.

So you've never looked at porn on the intarwebs BB? Highly dubious claim, people in glass houses and all that... I don't give a shit if people find out I have looked at porn, people like you who talk about it like 12 year old boys in the school toilets are more likely to be the ones that enjoy being asphyxiated with an orange and a length of electrical cord while being spanked with a copy of The Daily Telegraph.

My main concern about dissemination of personal information is how multinational corporations profit from it, I am a willing consumer, but I at least want the right to decide when I contribute to the coffers of Apple or Yahoo, my personal data is just that, personal. There is also the question of how future technologies (for example biometrics) will utilise this kind of data, and with biometric passports and other forms of id most likely becoming compulsory in the future I would advise people to really think about this.

FC you definitely need some kind of head support while wanking - all this head movement is rattling your brain around so much it is causing you to lose it.

Please tell us more about the question of how future technologies (for example biometrics) will utilise this kind of data.

yasni.de is really scary. I put a few bits of info together-- a first name, a web name, and a city and I got the last name of a person and so many links to where she's been on the web up to a number of years past. Just goes to show that you shouldn't use your last name on the internet. Especially in Germany! They have good information collection in this country as we all know!

My personal bogey is collecting friends on social web sites. Like say I had a friend from this site who was friends with one of my trolls...then I'd really get trolled in a personal fashion...that's why email is better. It's just two-way.
