  4. Just want to let you all know about our event coming up next week (a great chance to meet English speakers in Bremen!) : Bremen English Theatre presents a staged reading of Neil LaBute’s wickedly witty and emotionally raw “Fat Pig” on Sunday, 30. September as part of its Cake & Conflict series at Kulturzentrum Kukoon.  In “Fat Pig” Tom falls in love with Helen, a bright, funny, sexy young woman who happens to be plus-sized, and then some. Cornered into explaining his new relationship to his shallow (although shockingly funny) friends, he is forced to confront his own preconceptions about the importance of conventional good looks. Join us to experience a character exploration that delves deep into the issues of beauty and body shaming. In Bremen English Theatre’s staged reading series Cake & Conflict, we tackle difficult issues head-on, focusing on English-language plays that explore everything taboo. After each performance, audience and cast will discuss these thought-provoking topics along with a slice of cake. So bring your opinions and add a dash of sugar!   All performances begin at 19:30, doors open 18:00 at: Kulturzentrum Kukoon Buntentorsteinweg 29 28201 Bremen   For more information and to reserve tickets, please visit the BET website at: https://www.bremenenglishtheatre.com   You can also find us on social media at: Cake & Conflict Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/cakeandconflict/ BET Facebook Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/BremenEnglishTheatre/ BET Twitter - https://twitter.com/BremenEnglish  @BremenEnglish BET Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/bremenenglishtheatre/
