Jaina Hirai founded Hirai Healing in New York City in 2007, after completing the competitive 1000 hour degree program at the oldest massage school in the USA, The Swedish Institute. In 2009, she uprooted her life and business to relocate to Berlin, the city of her dreams. Her bodywork fuses eastern modalities such as shiatsu and Thai reflexology with western sports massage and deep tissue techniques. She has locations in both Friedrichshain and Charlottenburg where she offers private sessions, workshops for professionals and amateurs, and private lessons.
Her secret to success is listening to her clients with her eyes, ears, and intuition and creating customized treatment plans according to their symptoms. Her secrets to longevity include rigorous self-care with weekly massages, ergonomic workspace, yoga, meditation, Pilates and core strengthening, contemporary dance, and taking quite a bit of vacation time. Named “Best Massage in Berlin” by Swan Mountain Yoga in 2018, Jaina has massaged thousands of clients, including circus performers and professional musicians including Joe Jackson and Herbert Grunemeyer.
Rebecca Rainey is a celebrated Pilates and movement teacher offering innovative group classes and private sessions in Berlin since 2010. While living in New York City, Rebecca completed a rigorous 200+ hour Contemporary Pilates Mat certification from Erika Bloom Pilates in 2009 and graduated with a BFA in dance from Marymount Manhattan College in 2007. Rebecca’s work is rooted in the Pilates tradition and infused with fundamental movement exercises, practices adapted from her dance training, self-massage, myofascial release and inspiration from yoga. Rebecca uses her creativity to develop sessions and classes to bring about real and lasting change.
Her online platform - Pilates Inspired Practice - was launched in October 2017 and currently hosts over 100 videos to help amplify and support movement practices around the world.
Rebecca nourishes her creativity and development with her own daily movement and meditation practice, by regularly exchanging with other trainers and therapists and reading about all things body/mind. She also participates in continuing education workshops on a wide range of topics from kinesiology to fascia & mobility.
