  1. Untermieter rights with guests with covid related twist

Well if it says it is 2 overnights a week in the contract, then it is just that. If she doesn’t take the 2 overnights a week, then that’s her problem. Does it exactly say 2 overnights a week?    I think what you are asking is more than fair. If you wanted a couple to move in with you, then you would have done just that. But you didn’t, so you requested two nights a week.
  2. Coronavirus

Finally got moved up to Priority group 3 and then got the text to book my appointment. It was a bit confusing because I am in higher education as an adjunct (Lehrbeauftragte) and one uni said it was only eligible for those with a contract. Then another uni (Hochschule) I work at said all are eligible and I’ll be getting my proof to show them this week.    So onto booking I go... Thanks for the 6 week tip.
  3. I used SSW, which is now web-partner.de. They are by Goetheplatz. I was pretty happy with my service and they didn’t charge more than other lawyers sometimes do (I don’t exactly know about this, but they commented that my ex was paying a lot and I’m not sure how they knew that, but they did; even my ex commented that his lawyer was costing him a fortune, meanwhile I spent what I thought was fair).    I didn’t interview them or anything. I went on the consultation a year and a half prior just to find out my rights and then used them when my ex pulled the trigger. I wasted my consultation fee, but that was fine. At least I wasn’t totally in the dark.    You have to keep in mind they aren’t there to listen to ‘he said, she said’ stuff. Just get your assets divided and kids taken care of and that’s it.
  4. What are you cooking today?

Was busy in the kitchen on this nice day for some reason.   Made: Eggplant Parm  Sous vide salmon with a Bärlauch lemon cream sauce and a side of Broccolini  Chocolate hazelnut biscotti Toasted almond and candied cherry ice cream.    I’ll share the pretty pics, lol.
  5. I had the throat test done in at Johanniter in Giesing. I’m a huge baby with doctors and they were really good there. Might be worth calling up to find out more.    https://www.johanniter.de/johanniter-unfall-hilfe/einrichtung/corona-schnelltest-zentrum-muenchen-giesing-3451/
  6. Coronavirus

My guess is they will just put them in the sick pay system and just get lost there  for the time being until they work something out. If they work something out...
  7. What are you cooking today?

I made chocolate chocolate chip ice cream today. It looks similar to my previous pic but chocolate 🤣.    The chip part was an afterthought and it really didn’t need it as the base was so chocolatey.   Next on my list of ice creams is toasted almond and candied cherry ice cream, chocolate sorbet or frozen yogurt, and flan ice cream.    I do the base in my sous vide and then use the ice cream maker to churn. I used to never use the ice cream maker, but since I learned how to do the bases sous vide style, it’s much easier to get a nice custard base. My waist line isn’t too happy, though, but I gave up alcohol, so that’s the trade off. 🤣
  8. What are you cooking today?

I have tried it submerged (the meaty part) in stock and wine a few times. I gave up after a few tries. I’ve also tried it in a Dutch oven as well.    I should give it a try again. I am not keen on the Kraut idea, though. Sorry.
  9. What are you cooking today?

Yum, pork belly! That’s another one I can’t get quite right. It also comes out chewy. The cracklings comes out great, but I actually prefer the meat part more and can never get it perfect.    I have some ramen stock in my freezer that I need to use up soon. I’ll have to try that above recipe.
  10. What are you cooking today?

Just to add to that: https://www.noordinaryhomestead.com/butcher-shop-cheet-sheet-auf-deutsch/
  11. What are you cooking today?

Thanks! I have had some luck with Lidl of all places and their ribeyes. I had a really good steak from my local Rewe in Ramersdorf. It was from the fridge, too. It was one of those vacuum packed brands. I’ll get the name next time. I’ll have to keep my eye out for provolone now. I bet Edeka Simmel in Unterhaching has it.    I got a sous vide stick to make my steaks nice and tender, and I’m quite happy with it. It still lacks a little bit, but it will do. It saves money, too.
  12. What are you cooking today?

@CincyInDE May I ask where you got your ribeye and provolone from?
  13. What are you cooking today?

I made stracciatella ice cream today. Going to do some frozen blueberry yogurt soon.
  14. Is it legal to sell a pet?

Well, it isn’t a business and technically you did pay tax on the vet care you received. That person is just paying you for what you paid for. But I’m not an accountant...
  15. Is it legal to sell a pet?

Since El Jeffo has the page cited, I also wanted to add that you should also charge something. This keeps pet hoarders and those who want to use the pets for other inhumane uses (dog fighting, for example) away.   It helps to assure that the pet will go to a home where it will receive proper care. Well, it helps as much as possible as there are some sickos out there anyway.    ETA: please get your cat fixed.
  16.   Some things are not covered by the Mieterverein, duh. I have a problem with my landlord who refuses to take my ex-husband’s name off the lease. I would need to go through lawyers in family law for this. I don’t have legal insurance and I’m planning to get it this year, but that issue will not be covered. I anticipate having more issues with my landlord, so I’ll need it. She harasses me. The Mieterverein can do nothing about this.    It sounds like the OP is feeling discriminated against and that could cost him money. Getting it now won’t help him, but it was just a question, duh.
  17. Are you living there? How do you live there if the toilet doesn’t work?    Based on what you said, you should be reimbursed your rent or part of it and stuff if the flat is unlivable.    But I’m not a lawyer and let’s see what the Mieterverein comes up with.    Edit: Do you have legal insurance as well? This seems to be bordering on discrimination as well, but I’m not a lawyer.
  18. What are you cooking today?

No, I was just wondering. My family said I shouldn’t be keeping veg for longer than a few days, but it looks and smells fine for me for longer than a few days.
  19. What are you cooking today?

Yes, exactly. I always buy too much. I’m getting better, though. But celery will last a while because I’m not going to eat a whole head of celery.
  20. What are you cooking today?

How long are we talking here? I can get by for 1 1/2-2 weeks with this.
  21. What are you cooking today?

I’m lazy and open the bag and throw in some paper towels with my greens in the bag. Works fine for me!
  22. What are you cooking today?

I don’t like celery much either. I just use it sometimes for soups and egg salads. I got sick of it going off when I was only using like one or two stalks at a time. My mom gave me this tip.
  23. What are you cooking today?

Wrap celery in aluminum foil. It lasts for months!
  24. Coronavirus

I mean did you call up and ask a few times, etc. So something more than just signing up.
  25. What are you cooking today?

Put it in a mug or glass with water in the fridge. You can easily get a month out of coriander this way. It goes to mush if you leave it in the package because water kills coriander leaves. The stems and branches still have use, though.
