  1. Email from police - stolen PSN codes

Ah ok, that would make more sense.
  2. Email from police - stolen PSN codes

Yeah, I mean I get all of that. Then whoever they were stolen from (or maybe even Sony) has to report it to their local police who then report them stolen to Sony, and Sony then finds who used it and calls their local police? That's crazy. Especially for 50 bucks.
  3. Email from police - stolen PSN codes

Jesus! How the hell, or why the hell, did they find that you used that code?! I have also bought codes from kinguin.
  4. PUBG American Expats (Console)

crispychewy23 on PSN. I have no idea if we can add each other, but I assume so.
  5. stolz sein = proud??

I disagree with her, but what do I know.
  6. PUBG American Expats (Console)

I just got it last month because it was free on the PS4. I'd be down to give it a try, I've only been playing solo for now, and I'd say I'm still a noob, although I did get that chicken dinner once so far. I'm not sure what my PS name is , I'll have to get back to you. (also if you'd rather not play with a noob, I totally understand- I'm rank 69 right now)
  7. Telekom Fibre configuration...

I obviously did read your first post which is why I wasted my time looking the whole thing up and telling you that it should be an ethernet handoff, so any router would work.   I have no idea why that should be obvious that he hasn't gotten any paperwork because he hasn't gotten his router. I usually get an email with all information weeks before any service gets turned up.   Good luck mate. I'm out.
  8. Telekom Fibre configuration...

If you can configure one of the LAN ports to be your WAN port, I would assume that there will be an option to enter the Zugangsdaten (clone MAC address, etc). All of this should be in some sort of paperwork from Telekom though.
  9. Telekom Fibre configuration...

I just did a bit of googling, I'm still confused. It seems that you do have to go ethernet from the modem to the router. If he did something with the TAE thing, I don't understand what, unless there is also an RJ45 jack next to it.
  10. Telekom Fibre configuration...

OK, I'm thinking it should work.   What speed did your client order? It seems like that modem is then breaking out to DSL. Sorry, I don't have any experience with FTTH in Germany, 12 years ago when I got it in the US, it was fiber to a modem in the basement, then ethernet from that to my router. Telekom is so weird in my opinion.
  11. Telekom Fibre configuration...

Sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer, but I'm assuming that the modem is just passing off ethernet to the router, so any ol' router should do. On that Speedport, assuming you can configure LAN 1 or 4 or whatever as WAN, it should work.   But that is just my thinking.

  13. Simple Ethernet port -> WiFi question

But that is to the internet, right (not just your WiFi speed)? Thats really good. What speeds are you expecting to get?
  14. Simple Ethernet port -> WiFi question

True, I missed the part about planning to return it.

  16. Any IT experts out there? Home WIFI problems

Ah, yeah I'm under the same impression. Feel free to send me a PM, or just write here what router you do have, I should be able to google it, if I'm not familiar with it and help you more.

I personally use an app called "Wifi Analyzer" (on Android). It will show you all the channels in use and recommend a better one, if needed. To change it, you'll need to login to your wifi router and you should be able to change channels under the Wireless section of the admin interface.

Like I wrote him, the repeater that he did get from Vodafone is a mesh repeater. I'm just not sure if it's configured correctly. A 2nd might not be a bad idea. Or reposition the thing.
  19. Any IT experts out there? Home WIFI problems

Just looked up that Fritzbox (gag), the specs on it look pretty good. Are you able to log into  the admin interface?  They probably have it set up with the same Network name for both 2.4 and 5GHz, I would rename your 5GHz, just put a -5G on the end of it. That way you can see and control which one you are connected to. It's true that both of you could (probably are) having channel congestion, if you live in a Mehrfamilienhaus. If you can change the name of your networks, you should be able to change channels. Do keep in mind that the 2.5GHz has better range, but not nearly as much throughput. I would suggest putting devices on that network that don't need the speed. For example, I have my PS4 and TV on the 5GHz, and smartphones/devices on the 2.4.   I have no experience with Fritzbox's mesh network, so I unfortunately can't add much to that.

Assuming that that repeater is in fact using Mesh, it should be just fine. Make sure you are connected to the 5GHz for maximum bandwidth.   German reviews are not that great on it. One guy writes that you have to use the WPS button to set up the repeater in Mesh mode. (I hate Fritzbox...)

What are the usual problems? Too slow?   I'd suggest installing a WiFi Analyzer on your smartphone and testing how the signal is. I guess your router is from Vodafone? So I'd guess a WiFi repeater would be the best idea, I'll give you a suggestion, assuming that you have 2.4GHz and 5GHz... https://smile.amazon.de/-/en/TP-Link-WiFi-Repeater-Wireless-White/dp/B083M9RD97/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2GM5XUPNBQ76A&dchild=1&keywords=WLAN-Repeater&qid=1600848212&sprefix=wifi+re%2Caps%2C431&sr=8-10   It has both bands, and can connect on one band to your router, and the other band to your PC, which is good because a repeater halves your speed (when repeating on the same band as it is connected to)   But first, I would measure the signal strength.
  23. Simple Ethernet port -> WiFi question

Why wouldn't you just follow the instructions I posted and use the Fritzbox that you already have?
  24. Simple Ethernet port -> WiFi question

Yeah, sorry, but a router will work just fine. Yes obviously OP doesn't need all of the firewall/router functions...  It's called an Access Point, and you can put the Fritzbox into Access Point mode and done. And it has the switch built in to it. https://en.avm.de/service/fritzbox/fritzbox-7490/knowledge-base/publication/show/3244_Setting-up-the-FRITZ-Box-as-an-IP-client/
  25. niederlassungserlaubnis criminal record

I honestly don't remember having to answer that question, I've been locked up 6 times!  But never in Germany, so I assume if I did have to answer that, it had to do with the time that I was in Germany on a Niederlassungserlaubnis... I don't know, I never had any issues with my past record, but that is also in America, so it may be different for an EU/UK country...
