  1. Hi Guys,

lets meet up this Thursday at the cosy Irsh bar Tir na Nog at Bishcofsweg 31. This is a safe choice. I know there is a regular meet up on Wednesday but there seem sto be nothing happening this Wednesday. Shall we say 8.30 onwards.

I look forward to meeting some new faces.

  2. Hallo Tea Bot,

have you considered joining Mcfit, the fitness people. For just 17 euros a month you can go as often as you want. I go about about 5 times a week and I feel really good after a work out. There is one in Dresden.

Also , join the library and get some language books out. Leaning German will help you meet people. And it gives you an excuse to go to the pub and practice your new phrases. They will love you for it.

  4. Hi Guys,

do you need a guitarist? I have an acoustic guitar which is currently gathering dust. I have been playing for over 20 years so can play a few chords if I have to. Plus I love to finger pick. As opposed to nose pick.

  5. Hi Guys,

I play social volley ball on Mondays and Wednesdays with a friendly German club. We normally warm up and drill for 40 minutes and then play up to 3 sets. Mixed of course. Last night there were 16 of us so we had one court of 6 a side and one court of 2 a side so there is some flexibilty. Plus they do enter tournaments. We pay near Görlitzer Banhoff, in Zeughofstrasse. The name of the club is Hansa 07 or something like that.

  6. Hallo,

there is a decent Irish bas called The Celtic Cottage. It has a smoking ban. There is excellent live misic on a Thursday and Saturday night. Mainly with acoutsic guitars, fiddles and so on. The music is played at the right volume. Loud enough to appreciate bt not so loud as to prevent conversation. It can get crowded on Saturdays. Thursday are better.

  7. Hallo Rugby fans,

I watch most of my rugby at Finnegans Irish pub in Steglitz. This is a nice cosy pub and we almost always haye a good laugh. Many of us still play rugby in Berlin for various ex pat teams. There are 3 screens which can show different games if required.

Be aware that the Kiwi bar is also in Steglitz but cannot always show the rugby games and even if they do it is via a computer and so is not quite as good as TV.
