  1. hmm but the answers in that one aint really better than the ones here. Still confusing. That's why I say: It does not hurt to get this bloody thing and only costs time, no money.

Before getting into trouble of being denied for a job cuz of having none, I personally would just get one, just in case I need it. If I won't need it, tuff luck, wasted time to get one. But thats maybe the german thing in me again prolly.

So the answer for an asker should be: If you want one go get one, if you don't, don't :)

same as in "deregister" thread: if you want to, do it, if not, then don't

  2. yeah ok, so if this is a fact I still recommend a sticky so that ppl who are new on the board because they try to find an answer to the question, if they need one, could see it right away. As some ppl don't seem firm with this, the advices might confuse the asker more than they help ;)

there is a law that says a woman can not get married within a year after she gets divorced, but a man can. it has something to do with if she is pregnant...it dont matter though if her ex has already got married again

Bullsh** (sorry, but where did you read this) :D

I find the annoying thing is that you need to go through 2 sets of security to get to the plane, and no-one seems to be in a rush when you are!

only happened to us when we flew BA in the new terminal. We were pissed off that nobody told this at the check in (was after 09/11 happened).

We almost missed the flight cuz we only went through the 1st check and then had coffee etc.

They told us, it's BA's extra security check.

  5. Black, no offend, but I guess you fit the type above, which some just described :D

Tell me, what would you have done in England f.e. in the same situation? Or even better, in USA (even at 2pm in the middle of nowhere, next rest area 90 miles?) :D

And how old is your "german wertarbeit" car? I remember you can't wait to leave Germany, but forgot, where to. But I really hope, that you will like it there. Then again, if you fit the type "whining pom", I am sure you find something, which pisses you off ;)

  6. heard that new "Folgen"? (some german speaking native english speaker help me please) of "two pints of lager and a packet of crisps" will be on soon? Is this true??? I forgot to admit, that I like that one :$ , it was just boring to see the same "Folgen" over and over again :D

  7. no clue sorry. Usually if you were moving to a different place in Germany you would have to deregister and register again at the new living place. So the place where you live should be the place where you are registered. But that's the "official" way. I would just phone either the "Gemeinde" or "Stadt". Or take the advice, which some others gave, that it's not worth bothering and just leave.

    Interesting - to who exactly??

hmm I dont know, just out of interest? If i hear there are 60 Million ppl living in Germany but actually its only 40 or 30? Well I dont know? I just though when I hear or read about how many ppl live in a country, I just trust it actually. But if nobody deregisters and registers

  9. but Bully...how do you know exactly, how many ppl live in a country? Shouldn't someone who leaves the country and plans not to come back, deregister SOMEWHERE? I am not saying I like the way it's in Germany with the registration rule in general, but is it not somehow interesting and maybe even important, how many ppl (at least how many about) live in a country?

  10. QUOTE

As for the sponging, work shy - please don't get me on to the Royal Family!

As long as you don't get me on to the German aristocracy who do actually get paid to do nothing.

sorry, this new qoute thing, I still dont get it. I quoted to less, the part where you qoutet BLT was gone. What i mean is that you made it sound that german work shy ppl were worse than british ones and that the solution in Britain was the best. Like BLT said...but...blah...forget it

When you hear about women here who have lots of kids and both parents unemployed and they live off welfare we should also ask, if this is better than a british 20 year old with 3 kids from 3 different men, unemployed and living of welfare ;)

I still see no real argument why 18 minutes working will help to reduce the unemployment so I stay with what I said first: I understand them doing the strike.

    Nice weekend all
