  1. Brexit: The fallout

Meanwhile, over in Brexitannia...   Are flag is better than the Sun!
  2. Brexit: The fallout

I think we all remember that happening back in early 2000...
  3. Negotiate better AldiTalk tariff?

Super helpful @PandaMunich!! I owe you a virtual beer or two
  4. I've had the same AldiTalk tariff for the last 6 or so years (L = 12Gb/month) and I've realised that I'm now paying over the odds (still 30/month whereas the tariff is now 17,99).   Am I likely to get a better rate if I tell them I'm going to cancel? Any other strategies?

  7. Brexit: The fallout

Tomatoes are immigrants from Central and South America anyway. I was going to say that the patriotic alternative would be the turnip, but apparently that originated from Scandinavia (or maybe Russia). Even the honest spud is non-native, just like the tomatoes from the Americas.   Damn Johnny Foreigner and his fancy foods!
  8. Brexit: The fallout

Don't mention B*&^%t   UK's biggest glasshouse grower of salad crops has been forced to "trash" £320,000 worth of tomatoes due to a lack of pickers and drivers
  9. Brexit: The fallout

How cringingly embarrassing to be pro-Brexit these days. No wonder they are keeping their heads down!   Here's an insight from the Financial Times. Taking back control, eh?
  10.   Did your spouse manage to identify any exceptional circumstances? Just curious.
  11. Maybe @murphaph could adopt her?  Just trying to think outside the box here...
  12. Germany does allow dual citizenship in exceptional circumstances, however this is not at all common.   Your wife would need to demonstrate that relinquishing U.K. citizenship would cause significant financial hardship.   Some US citizens use this loophole because giving up US citizenship costs a huge amount of money, but it’s unlikely to be the case for U.K. citizenship   Or she has to prove that she has an overwhelming need to retain her U.K. citizenship, and that would be at the discretion of the official handling the application.   Nothing you wrote suggests that your wife has an "exceptional" case, rather it just sounds like she regrets not getting an application in before Brexit closed the door.    I might be wrong!
  13.   Regeneron? Bear will not do it, doctors got different opinions about side effects, for the moment they don't trust this antibody drug, why should he do it?
  14. Nope. Try again, incel.
  15.   You don't go all out and say it, but I think we can all see that this is essentially #incel territory
  16. Empanadas in Berlin 2021

Pecados in Neukölln for Uruguayan empanadas. Sonnenallee 127, 12059 Berlin   Decent place, friendly and reasonable prices.
  17.   Where do you come from, somewhere sunny? Just curious.    If it the situation gets too frustrating you can always switch off the computer, go outside for some fresh air and exercise.
  18. The "joke" has not been censored, it's still there, but it has precious little to do with moving on from bad things.    "Punch up, not down"
  19.   I guess those sharing this "joke" also had a good belly laugh at the people who jumped to their deaths from the WTC on 9/11
  20. Celebrating desperate people falling to their death on camera. What a POS.
  21. Brexit: The fallout

    Satire is dead. RIP.
  22. Really, really pathetic. It's absolutely not OK to trivialise the Holocaust in this manner.   It's a familiar ploy straight out of the playbook of characters such as Marjorie Taylor Greene.  When the far-right Congresswoman made the comparison repeatedly, the American Jewish Congress responded that  "the Holocaust and Jewish suffering is not a prop for [her] delusional views comparing efforts to save lives through vaccines with the most heinous, systematic state-sponsored slaughter of millions of innocent victims"   Nuff said on that score, I think.
