  1. BREXIT positives and negatives

Whoever he really was  Hellfarter's main talent was producing clouds of pungent gas to disguise his inability to contribute to the debate in any constructive or enlightening way. Unsurprisingly now the Brexshit starts to hit the fan, he makes himself scarce. Pathetic.
  2. Apologies if this question has been addressed elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything in the forum.   I'm in the process of renewing my UK passport online, and now there is a new requirement to also send "a full colour copy (every page including blank pages) of any current or expired passports from other countries that haven’t been cancelled"   My question to those dual nationals who have also gone through this process: is it acceptable to put several pages of the other passport onto an A4 colour copy, even make them smaller so they fit on fewer pages? Want to keep costs down, but don't want to run into bureaucratic problems.

  6. BREXIT positives and negatives

No-one is forcing you to discuss this issue. If you regard it as unimportant or irrelevant to your life, simply avoid this thread.

  10. What's the issue with dual nationality?

A summary of the various parties positions on dual citizenship
  11. So true. My wife is an Erzieherin, and although she loves the kids - and they love her - she is exhausted when she comes home and collapses on the couch. Early shifts, long hours, low pay - they really do work hard for their money. My Mum was in charge of a nursery back in the UK, so I really do respect the hard work they do which is typically undervalued and underestimated.   More power to them, and a pay rise too!
  12. Negotiate better AldiTalk tariff?

Super helpful @PandaMunich!! I owe you a virtual beer or two
  13. I've had the same AldiTalk tariff for the last 6 or so years (L = 12Gb/month) and I've realised that I'm now paying over the odds (still 30/month whereas the tariff is now 17,99).   Am I likely to get a better rate if I tell them I'm going to cancel? Any other strategies?
  14.   Did your spouse manage to identify any exceptional circumstances? Just curious.
  15. Maybe @murphaph could adopt her?  Just trying to think outside the box here...
  16. Germany does allow dual citizenship in exceptional circumstances, however this is not at all common.   Your wife would need to demonstrate that relinquishing U.K. citizenship would cause significant financial hardship.   Some US citizens use this loophole because giving up US citizenship costs a huge amount of money, but it’s unlikely to be the case for U.K. citizenship   Or she has to prove that she has an overwhelming need to retain her U.K. citizenship, and that would be at the discretion of the official handling the application.   Nothing you wrote suggests that your wife has an "exceptional" case, rather it just sounds like she regrets not getting an application in before Brexit closed the door.    I might be wrong!

  20. Terminating a work contract

This sounds like useful counsel; definitely a case for a lawyer. Good luck to you.
  21. Terminating a work contract

You sound like you need urgent legal advice, rather than opinions from strangers on the internet. Hopefully this can be sorted out.
  22. The UK Department of Transport has announced that Germany will be placed on the ‘green list’, making quarantine-free travel to England from Germany possible from 4am Sunday 8 August.   These rules apply for entering England only, not Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.   https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-amber-and-green-list-rules-for-entering-england
  23. Have a residence permit but visum is expired

Aha, maybe I read that incorrectly - it's your visa that has expired, not your passport. I would be wary of leaving the country and would try to renew the visa as soon as possible, but maybe others can advise.
