  1. Hey,

I would be up for Ticket to Ride, Dominion or similar games (except for Catan, which I hate with a passion ;) ). "Café May" in Eimsbüttel is pretty nice to do gaming there. They have a very small selection of games themselves so they don't mind people playing and the sandwiches/cakes/... are pretty good.

  2. Hi,

while I'm at it, are there any string players at this forum? I'm looking for either a piano or other string players to play some chamber music. I've played the violin in a couple of orchestras but I'm not that technically savvy. So don't be shy, it's just for the fun of making music. Chances are, you play way better than me :)

On a similar note, I'm also looking for people that are interested in going to classical concerts...

    Cheers

  3. Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there are any other board gamers at TT. I used to play a lot when I was at university but over the last few years it's gone down to maybe once every 2 months or so. I would love to find some new people to play the occasional round of Ticket to Ride, Kingdom Builder, or similar style (=non hard-core 4+ hours epics) games. The Café May in Eimsbüttel has a lot of sofas and large tables plus they have a few boardgames of their own so playing is permitted...

    Cheers

  4. Hey,

I'm also looking for a place to celebrate and hopefully meet some nice new people in the process :) I'm 33, working as a user experience and interface designer/programmer, hobby musician, once-upon-a-time-avid board gamer, passionate cook, ... just to drop a few potential conversion topics ;) . I was thinking of watching the fireworks near Feenteich. Since it's one of the posher areas of Hamburg, the idiot-spectator-ratio was pretty good the last two times I was there...

  5. Hey everyone,

Pixar's new movie "Merida" (a.k.a "Brave") is launching this week (or at least it's the first week I'm aware of it  ). For some reason, Streits Cinema only runs it in the early afternoon, so I picked Sunday... anyone up for it?

I'm 33, actually German (but grew up on way too many American text adventures and too much Sky TV) and a pretty big Pixar fan ... sort of an occupational hazard I guess ;) . When I lived in Munich, I met some where very nice people via Toytown so I thought I give it a try up here also...

    Cheers
