  1. I doubt police will divulge this info to anyone just calling. This is just my hunch after living here. You can't get your own accident report from the police, without involving lawyer.    Since the car already got successfully registered before in Germany without any police action and Zulassungsstelle were clueless about its stolen nature, I doubt you could have anything different to prevent your situation.
  2. A quick check of the vin number against car vertical or similar vin-check website would have (most probably) revealed the stolen status of the car. That would have saved the Op unnecessary Hassel.
  3. The 2019 tariff of ~15 cents /m3 is unrealistic for Germany. It seems only Grundgebühr was charged in the water bill by the water company for the 2019 hence the lower per m3 price calculated for 2019.  The 2020 tariff is realistic but a bit on higher side. This amount probably also include the actual water costs water for 2019 making per m3 usage a bit high. If the total water cost of 2020 is divided  with total water usage of (2019 +2020), then the realistic water cost of 1.83 /m3 can be seen.
  4. Buying a house without realtor

5% is normally standard, but should be written in the contract. It never harms to ask the rate for higher sondertilgung option. In my case, I was able to get 10% without any change in the plan.
  5. Lateness of Nebenkosten bill.

It always amuses me that with the new technology, the bill could be generated faster but in this case there will be delay.   I guess the landlord installed the Funk System for measure the radiator heating but having second thought of continuing the high service cost of the company for Bill calculation.
  6. Well one can easily cancel  Bahncard by putting details on their online cancellation form
  7. Not true. The tax at source is calculated with including the 1000 euros of the tax allowed expenses (Werbungskostenpauschale). So you will only see some tax return on tax filing if your tax allowed expences exceeds the 1000 Euro limit.
  8. de-register the car

My experience was different. Accidental damage car was evaluated by insurance as a writeoff for 2.3k. Was offered by wkda 2.7k.   There's no harm in trying wkda. One can always walk away if the offer is below expectation.
  9. de-register the car

Just take some picture of your car from all the sides and put it on wirkaufendeinauto website. See what they offer. If their initial offer looks good then drive it to their place for physical evaluation and their final offer. Generally at this stage they make a low offer but you can decide if you can sell it to them or not at the quoted price. To make a good judgement you should be actually aware of the real worth of your car. In case you sell, they take care of your deregistration.    Good luck.
  10. Shoplifting case a friend accused!!

Lawyers have standard rate, which will be expensive. If he is a student, check with university where there might be some legal consultation provided by the student organisation.    Also what proof the shop has against your friend? Shop will not go to court unless they found the proof.    So having bad day, small item or forgetfulness doesn't help.
  11. Google Street View

Well it's a thing that if  you can go there and witness with your eyes then it's fine but you shouldn't record it to be seen later on. Something like you can witness court proceedings but can't record it. You never know what sensitive /embarrassing things you can capture accidently.
  12. Is it a good idea to buy a Diesel Euro 4 car now

You can also look into A quick purchase can be made either from dealer or a private sale. A two year vehicle will still be under manufacturer warranty.
  13. deregistraion form - permanenter Auslandsumzug

If i am correct it's a green colored page (Abmeldung) which states that you have deregisterd from the adress and moved your residence to a country  outside the Germany from/since certain date, something like
  14. Check when the last Tüv was done. If its recent then good. If old, then insist of New TÜV.    Also you might have some contact detailsof seller and their friend. Just do a Google search for their name, phone, adress, etc for possible other activities they might involved upon which could hint of scam.    Good luck.
  15. For job too the procedure is same. Instead of invitation letter, you need the work contract and the cover letter from the company. The rest procedure are same.    Good luck
  16. Connectivity problem using smartphone with Homespot

This could be the problem of poor internet at that time or the issue of verification website (if other Website worked at that time)
  17. Connectivity problem using smartphone with Homespot

First you need to determine how much actual speed you are getting. Try on Browser and tell how much it report.
  18. Clarification on Der Bebauungsplan

I think E1 = Einzel Haus with 1 Wohneinheit  E2 = Einzel Haus with 2 Wohneinheit  So if you go for E1, you can have just one full floor of maximum 0.38%  ie 235m2. If you go with E2, you can build two full floor, ground and first each having maximum of 0.38% area making combined area of 0.76%. The ll in the circle in first row of E2 tells how many full floor you can build. In E1 you can fuild one full floor. So with E2 you can build 2 dwelling unit.

  20. Berlin Corona Vaccinations

One can also buy it in Apotheke for 1.5€. That's what I did in Hamburg.
  21. Vaccine Consultation, Is this a Scam?   From above, there are various parts of a imphung that doctor can charge and will be paid by (atleast TK) insurance.    Kosten für die ärztliche Impfleistung (Impfanamnese, Impfberatung, Verabreichung der Impfung und den Eintrag in den Impfausweis) und den Impfstoff
  22. May be he might be eligible for Hartz4 with added benefit.   For Ausbildung, he might need to take help from Bafög.
  23. Migration for a 36 year software architect from india

I don't know that but I guess it's not much... He might have taken some course for a1 /a2 level, but that may not have played a significant role for his employment offer. As i said, he knew the company and worked for it as a client.        The best chance of landing the job will be the skill sets you have is in severely  short-supply here. If the company can find someone here in the local pool they will go for locals. The other option is the networking. If someone already working here in German company recommend you. This will work with big (or say international footprint) company as they will have experience in hiring from abroad.  Small & Medium size company will avoid hiring someone from abroad.
