Yoga is as popular in Munich as anywhere else and there are plenty of yoga centers in the city. Most of those listed below will offer courses in English, particularly if you ask them to.
- Bikram Yoga - opened in 2005, the first Bikram Yoga studio in Munich. This is Yoga under 38'C conditions. Located at Leonrodstraße 6, Neuhausen.
- AIRYOGA Yoga.Beauty.Wellness. - a multiple style Yogastudio and Asia Day Spa located in the Schrannenhalle, Blumenstr.6 Offering yoga classes in english language for beginners and advanced Yogis and Yoginis, teacher training and workshops with international guest teachers eg. John Friend, Max Strom, Emil Wendel, Shiva Rea. Trial classes 8 Euro.
- WOYO Yoga - at Elixia West with Sonja teaching, she is an excellent instructor. Neuhausen. U-Bahn U1 to Mailingerstraße.
- Sivananda Yoga Centre - is said to be expensive. Steinheilstraße 1, Munich-Maxvorstadt. U-Bahn U2 to Theresienstraße.
- Yogaloft - nice atmosphere, opposite of upscale gym. U-Bahn U1 to Fraunhoferstraße.
- Jivamukti Yoga Center München - also offers Astanga classes.
- iYoga on Maistraße (near Goetheplatz) has great Ashtanga Yoga classes which aren't too expensive. One of the instructors, Elisa, is an Aussie gal who teaches in a garbled mix of English and German. On Friday evenings she also teaches an exclusive English-language class.
- Check out Ishta Yoga for English speaking yoga classes with Yoga Alliance certified teacher Sabine Koetting. Centrally located (Giselastrasse, U3/U6), small classes, individual attention, all levels.
- Hillary Coley Fitness - an American personal fitness trainer who is also a qualified yoga teacher.
