The Westend is a district in Munich. It's located in the west of the city (surprisingly enough) between Ludwigsvorstadt and Laim. This district is also known as Schwantalerhöhe. The Westend borders on to the Oktoberfest site (the Wies'n). This is a fairly desirable place to live. Very central, and quite residential. Popular with non-Germans (many Turkish and others).
