V-Markt

V-Markt is a very large supermarket in the east of Munich. It is a 3 storey supermarket: the ground floor has food and drinks; the lower level has household and seasonal goods; and the upper level has clothing, furniture, sports and miscellaneous goods. There is also a cheap and not very good restaurant on the upper level. There are aisles for some ethnic foods, such as Turkish, Russian, British and American imports.

On the same lot is also a large Praktiker baumarkt (home/hardware supply franchise), with a gardening supply center. There is also a gas station on the lot with typically some of the cheapest gas prices in Munich, as evidenced by the neverending queue lined up.

The nearest U-Bahn station is Karl-Preis-Platz (U2) and the nearest S-Bahn station is St.-Martin-Str (S5/S6). Alternatively, take bus number 54 to St.-Cajetan-Str (the bus stops right in front of V-Markt).
