Tango dancing - Munich

TT has previously reviewed opportunities in Munich for Salsa and Jive dancing. Now, did you know that Munich is also one of the tango centers in Germany? Yes, check out Tango Muenchen for a list of milongas (places to go dancing), teachers and classes/workshops. There are many introductory classes for beginners, e.g. Wednesdays at Lacant, Sundays at the Deutsches Theater dance school and possibly many more. If you merely want to watch tango dancers and get a feel for it, join the crowd Friday nights at the open air Diana temple in the Hofgarten (near Odeonsplatz - just wander by!). And if you don't like the music but the dance intrigues you - maybe Tango Fusion is what you want.
