Sophie Scholl
Sophie Scholl, Hans Scholl, and Christoph Probst were executed in
Stadelheim prison on 22nd February 1943. They were Munich students and members of the
White Rose movement against the
Nazis.
The square at
Universität, where Sophie and Hans were arrested, is today called
Geschwister-Scholl-Platz. There are also memorial stones laid into the ground outside the University on
Ludwigstraße. See photos:

Studentenstadt, is named
Christoph-Probst-Straße.
In February 2005 a movie was released about her life. It was called "Sophie Scholl - The Final Days". The role of Sophie is played by Julia Jentsch.
Sophie and Hans were living at
Franz-Joseph-Straße 13 in
Schwabing at the time of their arrest. Today there is a plaque on the wall outside this address. See photo below:
On the corner of
Rheinstraße and
Simmernstraße in Schwabing is the following graffiti stencil of the familiar Sophie Scholl sillouette. This graffiti is signed by "Sucht". For more about his stuff see:

Inge Scholl, the sister of Hans and Sophie, was also arrested. But she escaped execution. After the war Inge and her husband founded a school in the city of Ulm for adult education. Inge was head of the school from 1946 to 1974. She also wrote a book about the White Rose group, Students Against Tyranny (1952).

In the 1980s Inge Scholl was a leading figure in the German peace movement and was heavily involved in the campaign against the stationing of US nuclear missiles in Germany. In 1985 she was arrested for taking part in a sit-in at the American Pershing II missile base in Mutlangen. Inge Aicher-Scholl died of cancer on 4th September, 1998.
