Odeonsplatz

Odeonsplatz is a large pedestrian square on the north side of Munich's central old town. The square is flanked on the East side by the Residenz, on the South side by the Feldherrnhalle, and on the West side by the Theatinerkirche.

Every year in July an open air classical concert takes place on Odeonsplatz. See: Odeonsplatz Classical Evening



On the first Sunday before 17th March, there is also the annual St. Patrick's Day parade and concert here.

Heading north from Odeonsplatz takes you along Ludwigstraße, past Universität, through the Siegestor, then along Leopoldstraße up to Münchner Freiheit.

Odeonsplatz is a nice place to grab a coffee at SFCC or Starbucks and then walk through the adjacent Hofgarten.
