ok, anyone know which dept down at the KVR Kreisverwaltungsreferat

There's a really useful list of authorities responsible for controlling/complaining about noise here: gesundheitsladen-muenchen.de / Lärm Seems like you need RGU-UW21, Bayerstr. 28a, 80335 München Tel. 233-23631 Fax 233-47742 rgu121@muenchen.de or RGU-UW23, Bayerstr. 28a 80335 München Tel. 233-26666 Fax 233-47742 rgu23@muenchen.de depending on whether the place making the noise should have permission or not... Let us know how it goes... YL6

OK, I usually never complain about anything. And I have been putting up with this for months and months now! Does anyone know what the normal Munich bylaw is for construction sites putting up an apartment complex right across from my balcony and starting to make deafoning noises at awful hours. They start sometimes between 0615 and 0645, never at 0700 like I heard it was supposed to be. And then the bastards of course use the loudest pieces of equipment as soon as they arrive on site. It is not so annoying because we all must get up for work anyways but here is even the more annoying part. Get back at home from the office, they are still working sometimes up to 2000 in the evening, making huge amounts of noise. And the killer is Saturday. They begin before 0700 sometimes on Sat morning and work the entire day, making a normal relaxing Saturday an ordeal. This entire is in North Swabbing where all the new complexes are going up, just to the west of where the A9 comes to an end. The entire place is full of new apartments and families and is designated now as residential. Is there any place I should complain?? Are they working valid hours? If not, I will be moving. The 7am start on weekdays is reguarly flouted my way as well. the problem is that most construction workers in Munich sem to be from the Bayerischer Knacker Forest and want to start early, finsih early and get back up the autobahn to the hills before the evening rush hour

Same going on here. It's simply annoying. It's so loud that you can't hear your own thoughts. And it goes and goes everyday from very early in the morning to at least 8:00 in the evening, even saturdays. Now they are not only making a lot of noise but started also doing something on the street and there are lots of cranes and bulldozers around and you cannot even walk safely because maybe one of those things will run over you. Is it possible to complain, or do something about it?

Look upwards in this thread (I realise you may have unknowingly been moved here...)

Just call the Poliz.

Won't help in most cases. They can give "advice" to both parties, but can't stop the noise...

An opera singer must have moved in recently as I have not heard her before. Now don't get me wrong, as a friend of arts and music I am not complaining to her and trying to remain calm, grinding my teeth, but it's really hard. This weekend our deva-in-training practised in front of her open balcony door for hours on end. Unfortunately this woman is not blessed with a lot of talent (ok, she is still practising) and the high pitches in her voice really made my hair curl. I am going to try stuffing parsley into my ears next time.. What a weekend..

call the Kreisverwaltungsreferat, they may be able to help.
