Maxvorstadt is a Munich city district to the immediate north west of the old city center. Many parts of Maxvorstadt, Theresienstraße for example, are frequently mistaken as being in Schwabing. In fact Maxvorstadt and Schwabing are adjacent, but are nonetheless distinct.
