The inflatable guitar is an item often used as a marker at TT events to help people find the group. Markers are useful because at crowded beer gardens it can be very hard for a newcomer to locate the group that they have arranged to meet. The guitar used is most usually blue, although it can sometimes be other colours. Why use an inflatable guitar? No particular reason. But it works as an unusual and distinctive marker. The guitar can also be placed upside down in a Maß glass, see photo.
It helps if a number of people, particularly event organisers, have their own inflatable guitar. This ensures that there is always at least one marker at an event. Inflatable guitars can be bought from tnt-shop.de / inflatables - they cost just €4 each and are delivered within Germany within two or three working days.
Recently, instead of or in addition to the guitar, there has also been an orange flag in use. This has been organised by the TT member called "space".
