Indian and asian foods - Munich

After our British and American Foods page, this is another hot topic on the board. Shops tend to have Indian and Asian food too, there are few shops that have only one or the other. Two of the largest and best are both at Motorama at Rosenheimer Platz. Easily accessible by S-Bahn too. One of them (or both?) has an entire room for the fresh produce section.

You'll probably be best off looking for the places nearest you, as the selection is very similar at most places. Use telefonbuch.de and look up Asienmarkt, Asien Markt, or something similar. (Indien Markt won't bring up much.) Use http://hot-maps.de to find the location, or even http://www.diemuenchner.de.

Kohinoor on Adolf-Kolpingstrasse near Stachus comes highly recommended: "I've purchased just about every spice known to man in that place in the last two weeks plus sauces, peppers, nan bread, you name it, they have it. Great place! Nice prices too." hoddysded
