Hallo Katze! was shut down and it's last day was on Saturday, December 2, 2006.
The Hello Kitty range is also available in most toy sections of the department stores,
Galeria Kaufhof,
Müller, etc. or leading toy shops. Here is a list:
- Obletter - They have a pretty good collection which includes things like blankets, umbrellas and the standard collections.
- Hertie at Stachus - Great Hello Kitty collection. This is one of the places I go to to get really cool products that you can't find in many other places like the Hello Kitty yoga mat in hot pink, etc.
- Karstadt - Pretty good place to get a good collection of standard hello kitty products, mugs, pillows, bath mats etc.
- Galeria Kaufhof - Have lots of t-shirts, standard collection often collections that you can't get in most places. Good for mugs, plates etc.
- Müller - Small collection, mainly bags.
- JapanSalon - This place has some rare HK stuff straight from Japan that you can't get anywhere else. It's pretty expensive.
Apparently there is also a store on
Odeonstraße near
Ostbahnhof with HK things as well, but I have yet to check it out.

From
Hello_Kitty Wikipedia - Hello Kitty: "the merchandise is produced by the Japanese company Sanrio. Copyrighted in 1976, Hello Kitty is now a globally known trademark. Hello Kitty merchandise is usually bright pink and features the Hello Kitty logo of a small white cartoon cat with a bow on the top of her head. Although originally aimed at the pre-adolescent female market, the Hello Kitty logo now adorns products from toys, purses, stickers and pen sets to toasters, televisions, clothing, massagers, computer equipment, and more. In fact, it has been speculated that if an item can maintain an image of Hello Kitty, then a Hello Kitty version of that item has been produced."
