Guenther Kaufmann

Guenther Kaufmann, a German actor, was born in 1947. Between 1970 and 2001 he appeared in upwards of 20 German language films and television series. He's not particularly well known on the international stage. The only English language film, as far as we can tell, was Kamikazi 89 which was filmed in 1982.

During 2002 to 2005 he was embroiled in a court case involving the suspicious death of his tax advisor in Febuary 2002. Initially, he was sentenced to 15 years in jail for murder. A few months later he was released after two other suspects admitted that the tax advisor had suffocated during a robbery. In January 2005 he was back in court to answer further questions about his involvement with the death. On 26th January 2005 the court in Augsburg cleared all charges against him.

He was last known to be heading up to Bremen to record some songs by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
