Grünwald is district located on the far southern edge of Munich. In fact, it might not even be classed as part of Munich, but it's own separate village. The area is sleepy but has a very high quality of life. This is where many of Munich's rich and famous choose to live. For example Rudolph Moshammer had his villa here (before he died).
The Bavaria Film Studios are located here.
It is generally the cultural elite who choose to live here. Munich's business and political elite live in Herzogpark.
It's nice to take the tram line 25 all the way out to Grünwald. The tram literally runs through the properties' backyards, allowing impressive views of the houses.
