G&A Grocery Store - Munich

The G&A Grocery Store is, just as it says on the tin, a German and American grocery store.

It's a tiny little place located on Baaderstraße. It's right when you get off at the tram or subway stop Fraunhoferstraße, in Isarvorstadt. Do not walk into the direction of the Gärtnerplatz, but walk south for a couple of feet. The owner is really nice and you can find baking soda, PAM spray, oreo, Ben and Jerry's and a lot of other American food there.

15.12.2005 - Went there today and didn't see much American food there, mostly German. Unless I'm missing something. I did see the Oreos, but not much else.

18.4.2006 -- plenty of stuff there now. Sure you weren't in some other shop? Ocean Spray Cranberry juice, root beer, Celestial Seasonings Teas, Vanilla, Mountain Dew...

28.11.2008 - Another thing you can get at this store: great Thanksgiving dinners! The guy running this place does lunches every day anyway (good value) and on Thanksgiving he extends it to offer a huge dinner. You can eat it there but as there's not much room, best to take-out. We had it last night: turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cornbread, pumpkin pie, etc. Its huge and really good. Put it in your calendar.
