Crushed ice and ice cubes

Crushed ice and ice cubes can be bought in bulk from increasing numbers of petrol stations around Munich. Alternatively you can order them from many of the party delivery services which deliver drinks and food for your house party.

eis-frocks.de deploy freezers at garages in and around Munich. They sell 2Kg bags of crushed ice and ice cubes, both for €2.99 each. On website you can search for depots near you. Here is the summary for Munich:

Some large grocery- and department stores sell crushed ice. It isn't that common in Munich though. People tend to use freezer blocks. Some stores which have been known to sell ice are:

Galeria Kaufhof - but only sometimes (in the summer?)
Wal-Mart
HIT - bags of crushed ice, 1.99€ for the 2kg bag. It's in a freezer in the drinks part of the store, where they stock beer, water, etc.
Metro - bags of ice, although you need a card to shop there

icefactory-muenchen.de - we think this is more of a large scale commercial place, on their business card they say daily deliveries.

There is a bavarian bar on Pfeufferstrasse near Harras who have a sign outside their door advertising ice at €0.70 per bag. Anyone know the name and address of this bar?

Crushed ice can sometimes also be informally sourced from McDonalds restaurants, the fish-monger section of supermarkets, and the science departments of universities.
