Concert listings

Being a large city, Munich has it's fair share of visitors from the musical world, ranging from small independent bands to world-famous stadium rockers.

Concert Listings

Upcoming concerts are usually listed in the In München magazine, which you can pick up in several places around the city. In addition they are often listed in the free "WOM" magazine, which is published by the World Of Music store.

There are also, of course, the usual posters and flyers. These are invariably to be seen at the Concert Venues.

Tickets

Tickets are usually on sale in advance through various ticket kiosks in the city. The most convenient of these are the ones in the first underground level at Marienplatz S-Bahn station, and under the stairs on the platform of Münchener Freiheit U-Bahn station.

Tickets bought in advance usually carry a small booking fee, and you should expect to pay a fee of around 50 cents if you pay by credit card or EC-Karte.

In most cases, if the concert is not sold out you will be able to buy tickets on the night at the "Abendkasse", but even if it's a sell-out it's often worth turning up just to see if anyone is selling their ticket.
