The Caipirinha is the cocktail of choice for the discerning Münchner. Or so it would seem.
For some reason this drink, originally from Brazil, is extremely popular in Munich. Go into any bar or nightclub and you'll see that half the cocktails being sipped are Caipi's.
The Caipirinha is extremely easy to make. Take:
2 spoons of sugar
1 lime chopped into wedges
Lots and lots of ice
Filled up with Cachaca or Petu rum
Place the lime and sugar in the glass and mash together with a wooden pestle. Add ice to the top of the glass. Then pour in the rum and stir. That's it!
