Alois Dallmayr

Alois Dallmayr is probably considered 'THE' top dog quality department store in Munich. Not terribly large, but they do have a nice range of goods. There's a small "stehcafé". You can look at the live lobsters and crabs in the fountain. The store is split into a number of small sections - one for speciality coffee beans, one for chocolate cakes, another is the butchers, or the fresh fruit, or the olive oil, etc. Upstairs is the kitchen utensils and crockery store.

Located on Marienhof, behind the Rathaus.
