Active members

Active members are arbitrarily defined as those who have logged into the chat forum at least once within the last three months.

Active "posting" members are those who have made at least ten posts to the forum ever, and have made at least one post within the last three months.

Active "lurking" members are those who have logged in within the last three months but have either: posted fewer than ten messages ever, or not posted at all within the last three months.

At last count (April 2007) there were over 5,000 active members on the Toytown Germany chat forum. This number is comprised of around 1,200 posting members and another 3,800 lurking members. There are over 12,000 registered accounts in total. Around 40% of all accounts are active.

Note that the nationality, gender, and age counts given on the page linked above are much lower than the real figures. This is because the counts only include active members who have updated their profiles accordingly. Many don't update their profile. See also the full membership list.
