Zum Kloster - Preysingstr. 77, 81667 Munich, Germany

A close friend of mine introduced me to this seemingly boring little place. I say seemingly because boring is a subjective term. In fact the bare boards and simplicity of the Kloster fit a certain mood perfectly.

Say it’s an early Sunday morning, fresh and clear and you wake up with pangs of hunger and a slightly wuzzy head. This is the perfect time to gather up half-a-dozen magazines and head over here for breakfast, before the mid-morning crowds arrive, before you’ve completely woken up. Just grab a table in the corner or a spot outside, sit back and relax.

The staff have a sense of humour and all the food is fresh and natural - guaranteed unfrozen and un-microwaved.

interesting place. you can have "ökö"-food and "ökö"-drinks (e.g. home made "schorle"). and even more interesting the clientele; everybody seems to be alternative here: young alternative families speaking with old alternative people from the quarter about politician or new traffic perspective of the quarter itself (e.g. new S-Bahn tunnel). alternative students together with alternative newspapers readers and (even!) alternative wireless PC-users. it´s all so alternative, that it can be embarrassing to just look "normal" :-)
