Zay actually claims to be a vegan restaurant.

All my vegan friends are crazy about the restuarant, but I don't get it. I find the food very bland, very lacking in spices, except for the satay dish. The people who run it are very spiritual, and this runs to no alcohol. I tried the alcohol free wine; don't bother. It doesn't taste much different from grape juice, but costs the same as wine.

Alchohol free wine is fermented, and then has the alchohol removed - thus keeping the 'healthy' and removing the 'unhealthy'. Apparantly. Hence it costs more.
