Best Mexican Restaurant I have been to in Munich which says a lot since I come from southern cali where the mexican food is o'plenty. Great classic margaritas on the rocks... just make sure to ask for the rocks!

I don't believe you. No one really from So Cal calls it "southern cali".

I had the Enchilada Pollo, a generous serve with two enchiladas made with decent chicken. The refried beans were yummy and not the usual brown slop out of a jar. Good service, reasonable prices. Atmosphere is more restaurant and less bar (the Gypsy Kings CD is really popular), so if you're looking for a loud, lively cocktail joint this probably isn't it. Tends to get a bit smoky, but doesn't everywhere? All in all highly recommended.

Great dinner tonight, and the margaritas were excellent -- not too smoky either, although we were pretty early and it was a Sunday night. Parking is a pain, but walkable from the Banhof.

Was there for dinner and drinks this evening. The nachos were tasty (real homemade chips). The main meals were not bad but lacking celantro (fresh coriander) which is vital for good Mexican food. The cocktails were REALLY good and they always have one cocktail at half price all night long. The service was fantastic and very attentive. I will for sure be going back there for drinks and chips!!!

With the area around Rotkreuzplatz being my favorite hang out area, I can only agree with the previous poster. Great drinks (many times availably at happy hour prices), great nachos and never had a bad meal. I love their fajitas. Have not found tastier ones in Munich.

I was here with my brother after a theater production in the Amerika Haus. Although I am not a fan of mexican food i decided to bring my brother there as he had never tried it. I ordered the mexican salad which was very big and and tasted excellant. But my brother didn't have as good a meal. Having had the nachos as a starter which was also very generously proportioned but was covered in cold and slimy cheese. Then a fajita which was also overly cheesy. It might have been that we had come quite late and it was also very busy. Although I have to say the cocktails were lovely and the staff were very helpful and understanding. Would definitely consider going there again.

Great Place!! Have been there twice this month and really enjoyed myself. The food is top quality. I had the Empanadas Carne stuffed with chili and was VERY impressed. The chili was spicy and not just made with ground beef (minced meat) but also packed with chunks of beef steak!!! YUM! The cocktails are tasty, the service is GREAT, and the weekly specials are a wonderful incentive. GO THERE!

This place is awful. The fact that they have a tapas board (tapas are served in Spain not Mexico) and that there are no margaritas on the menu should be a big clue as to authenticity. Even the olives were bad, straight from the can. And the other appetizer (sorry, tapa) I had came out of a jar. There was nothing appetizing about the food here. It came in unattractive piles, horribly overcooked, and even the waitresses looked depressed to be there.
