Nice and alternative Haidhausen "Kneipe" which has a similar kind of atmosphere to Jennerwein in Schwabing or the Valentin Stüberl in Isarvorstadt / Schlachthofviertel. I.e. quite a relaxed clientele, 50% students or other youngsters, but - as is typical in this quarter - also a 50% of older beer drinkers, families, and older Haidhausener couples just willing to drink one (normally more) beer in an unrefined but friendly ambience.
Unlike the two places I mentioned before, this pub hardly figures is the major city guides as a trendy alternative spot. So, apart from the similarities, you will not find regular dj´s acts here, nor a crowd of people standing.
Instead you will be offered a huge list of sincere German and international standard meals, a good variety of beers, and of course televised sport events such as the Bundesliga.
Hint: avoid going directly after work in suit and tie. Otherwise the owner/waiter will likely try to bounce you out or not to find a place for you.
