Strawberry Limes and Helles kept me going till 8/9, sometimes 10am, many Saturday and Sunday mornings last Summer!!! Temple Bar is the best craic ever!
Posted by: "yvonne" at 10:11 pm on 3.Mar.2004Mick and The Temple Bar are the best thing in Munich! Bring on the Whiskey Sours!

Posted by: "Anonymous" at 8:26 pm on 14.Oct.2004Mic makes this place!! its the only irish pub in munich that resembles an irish pub. plays wicked music (the pogues, van morrison, u2, the cranberries, dire straits...) vodka limes for 1, what more could one ask for??
Posted by: "vanessa" at 10:31 pm on 5.Feb.2005The only place to be seen at 9am on a saturday or sunday morning. Taxi service is superb as well, keep it up Micko. A special mention too for the lovely Eimar who would brighten up any pub at silly o'clock...
Posted by: "Big G" at 3:37 pm on 17.Feb.2005When Irish eyes are smiling, mick is always smiling no matter what hour of the morning you stroll in as inevitably we do on a saturday night. Place is tiny, but full of ramblers jumping up and down to rock music. Typical irish (and I am), you'll feel right at home. Not everyones cup of tea but definitely take a look. Highly recommended for oktoberfest, the place is heaving, you won't be able to breathe and most are irish! so doubly dangerous
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 2:05 pm on 23.Feb.2005Mick was born for that job. Wish he would get his act together and move into town. Would definately then become a regular. The one good thing about the location is that you have an excuse for staying until the S-Bahns run again. Its a party place. Go out there and support Mick by getting as pissed as you can. Afterwards, you can travel home with the people that are going to work.
Posted by: "Cal" at 9:20 pm on 4.Mar.2005this pub suits all needs. It will supply life support machines for braindead german men, snakebites to play the "roxanne" game and eye candy with the hunk at the bar a.k.a. mick. all this whilst drinking strawberry limes and dancing to the irish rover!!-sally and vanessa
Posted by: "sally" at 6:49 pm on 14.Apr.2005Thanks to Mick and Emer this is my home away from home-Best §ucking pub in the world. The session that never ended!!!
Posted by: "Daithi" at 5:15 pm on 18.Jul.2005Been going to Temple Bar for a while now, but it was only after reading this page that i realised Mick opens on Wednesdays and Thrusdays. Has anyone actually been there then? Or knows if its definately open then...? Cheers

Posted by: "Sarah" at 9:55 pm on 1.Oct.2005Great Bar! We're Irish and usually don't seek out Irish bars overseas but we found ourselves in 'The Temple Bar' and had a wild night. Great staff and customers and Mick (the owner) is a fantastic guy. Highly recommended.

Posted by: "Glasgow John" at 4:21 pm on 17.Sep.2007Top bar..many a night I was ''mouldy'' in there. Sunday blown to bits...jesus some of the 'creatures' I woke up with after those nights....nowadays as old age sets in I make the temple of Doom not so often but when I do its a fierce one !! Jesus Wept.
Posted by: the_eagle at 3:00 pm on 20.Sep.2007been going to the Pogues Home and Temple Bar since 2000 - best pub I've ever been in. Hope the music policy is still as good, that's one of the things that made it. Only pub where I have fallen asleep with my head on the bar - and left in the morning sun a number of times. Fantastic. Will be back 'home' in Munich this week and canny wait....
